- One of the most influential biotech entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, Bob Hariri is the former CEO of Celgene and co-founder of Human Longevity. His latest venture is Celularity, which has raised $250 million to develop stem cell technology to treat cancer and delay aging. Hariri is an accomplished surgeon, biomedical scientist, jet engineer and serial entrepreneur.
- Award-winning science journalist and broadcaster Angela Saini, author of the Physics World Book of the Year, Inferior: How Science Got Women Wrong – the book that demonstrates how science doesn’t support age-old beliefs of gender inequality based on biology
- Samuel Tisherman, Professor, Department of Surgery and the Program in Trauma, University of Maryland School of Medicine; Director, Center for Critical Care and Trauma Education, R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, University of Maryland. Tisherman is working to save patients dying from trauma by placing them in suspended animation. He is conducting a clinical trial of this Emergency Preservation and Resuscitation, which uses hypothermia to “buy time” for resuscitative surgery.
- Indra Joshi, the Director of AI for NHSX, the new joint organisation driving forward the digital transformation of health and social care
