When I think of Las Vegas, I think of excess on a grand scale. And I think of International CES, the biggest electronics show in this country that happens every January in Las Vegas. CES is a big tent to be sure, but this year it will be a little bigger. The Consumer Electronics Association announced that this year’s show will include a special “Sports Tech Marketplace” presented by the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SIFA). This new section will showcase new sports technology products.
Visitors will be able to see how technology is helping amateur and professional athletes improve performance and enhance their experiences. Wearable technology plays a major role, providing mobile sensors that can gather valuable data. The Sports Tech Marketplace will be part of the CES Tech West exhibits, and will be housed in the Sands Expo. Other sections of CES Tech West in the Sands, Venetian, and Wynn/Encore sites will include other Health Tech technology focus areas, including fitness and health wearables, sensors, and related applications.
The 2015 International CES will be held in Las Vegas January 6 through 9, 2015 all over Las Vegas.
